2008 Treasurer's Report
2008 marks the renaissance of the corporation after seven years of basic maintenance - paying fees and annual dues to the Secretary of the State of Maine, to Northeast Historic Film, and to Van Meer & Belanger, the firm that had served as the Clerk of the Corporation since its inception. Our director Lucia Chomeau Hunt is now the Clerk of the Corporation, saving us some $70 annually. We began the year with $172 in our savings account, an account which has seen no withdrawals in over eight years. Pennies and nickels in interest earned by the account added up to a closing balance of nearly $173 at the end of 2008. All other cash transactions in 2008 were through our checking account. Figures in the following are rounded to the nearest dollar:
Balance forward (1 January 2008) $247 Credits $1,409 1,656 Debits $1,452 204 Balance (31 December 2008) $204All credits were in the form of cash donations. I have made no accounting of "in-kind" donations or other expenses that were not entered in our ledger.
