Arthur Hall does it all - dances, teaches, rehearses the Afro American Dance
Ensemble, and discusses his philosophy and the creative process. The original 16mm film
is an excellent portrait of the first blooming of the Ile Ife Center and the Ile Ife Museum.
It includes interviews with James Crawford, Karen Steptoe (Warrington), Evangeline Brown,
Barbara Kinney, Ron Payton, and others, along with performances by Farel Johnson,
C. Edward White, Carol Butcher, Rita Cottman-Johnson, James Corry, Norman Mills,
Betty and Luther Aldridge, and many more. The film's climax is a performance of
Obatala in the woods of Pennsylvania and on the streets of North Philadelphia.
